Invigorating the brand through inspired design ...

The genesis for Air New Zealand's branding Inspiring Journeys is closely aligned to the national identity. Core brand values were employed by designer David Scott in the new Christchurch International Lounge. A finalist in spatial design in New Zealand's Best Awards 2007, the lounge represents a distinct break from the norm of corporate 'cookie cutter' lounges.

PR inspired editorial was considered the most effective medium for exposing the brand values incorporated in the design. To communicate the underlying values with the design fraternity, the corporate market and with the tourism industry McManus Tourism Communications managed a project of media liaisons to generate positive coverage.

Communicating an IPO

Jason's Travel Media
“ With a history of successfully delivering good results on our product-related public relations, McManus Communications worked outside the square to deliver extremely well on a major business development project.”
John Sandford, Director (former CEO) Jasons Travel Media Ltd

Listing on the stock exchange is an exciting and potentially risky time for a business, requiring faith in your media liaison, their confidentiality and to deliver the results from a once ever opportunity. For well-established tourism publisher, Jasons Travel Media, the move to be a listed company on the NZAX followed 40 years of family ownership. McManus Tourism Communications was responsible for all external communications around the IPO, delivering timely results to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, and securing coverage in print, radio and TV.
